The right-hand part of this line is the quiet library count. While NovelWarp is working, that same spot shows the status from Account. The gold box at the top of Account shows that status in larger type, plus a second line when there is more to say. Open Account from the top row when you want the longer wording and the log.
The gold box and the short notes under the player buttons are NovelWarp telling you what it is doing. Here is what the common ones mean, and what to do.
The shelf
Please hold, and Establishing library listing. The shelf is being read. The window stays clickable. Wait for the library line under the player.
Not on disk. The title is a purchase, and the audio is not in the folder. Open it and press Download this book. Play will say "This title is in the shelf. Download it before playing." until that file exists.
A title in the Audible library shows on the shelf, including one added with Add to Library. If the audio is not in the folder yet, the row says Catalog or Not on disk. Open it and press Download this book.
This row has no Audible id to download. NovelWarp can see the title, and it does not have the Audible id it needs to fetch that one book. Sync library, then try Download owned.
Sign-in and download
Enter the Amazon email and password. Both boxes need something in them before Sign in.
A library task is already running. A sign-in, a sync, or a download is still going. Watch the log in Account, and wait for it to finish before you start another.
There was a problem on a browser page is Amazon's own heading. It often means the old Audible-username form was used. Leave Pre-merger unchecked and sign in with the Amazon email. Stay until the page says Login complete.
ffmpeg was not found beside NovelWarp, so a download cannot be unlocked. The program that turns the locked download into a playable file is missing from the NovelWarp folder. Playback of books already on disk can still work. A new download cannot finish until that program is beside NovelWarp.
Still working means a download is in progress. Download finished means that run ended. Open Account and read the log if a book you expected is missing. The log names the book, whether it was saved and unlocked, or why it was left alone.
Playback
The player did not start. The Windows player inside NovelWarp did not open. Close NovelWarp from Task Manager, where it is listed as NovelWarp.exe, and open it again.
This book has no chapter marks. The file has no chapter list. The play slider, the skip arrows, and the speed buttons still work.
Backed up 10 seconds. You returned to a book that had been sitting for more than five minutes. NovelWarp stepped back so you can hear the last line again.
Sleep timer paused playback, or Paused at the end of the chapter. A sleep button did what it was set to do. Press play to continue. Press Off before you start if you want the book to keep going.
Finished. Playback reached the end of the file. The row now says Finished. Open the book and use the slider or a chapter if you want to hear part of it again.
The chapter line looks one chapter ahead
Trust the name at the front of the line. The numbers in parentheses count the marks in the file. Opening Credits is often mark 1, so the publisher's Chapter 1 is mark 2, and the line says Chapter 1 (2 of 35). The full explanation is on the chapters page. Open the book once after an update so NovelWarp can reread the marks stored in the file.
